Quick Answers

Can OpalPop Rings Be Sized?

Most OpalPop rings can be resized upon request. We recommend contacting us before placing your order so we can confirm the specifics. All sizing is offered at-cost, with no markup.

Are Opal Rings Durable?

Opal durability varies depending on the type of opal and how it's set. Boulder opals are the most durable variety, and bezel settings provide the best protection. As a rule of thumb, we recommend treating your opal as if it were made of glass—wear it with care, and reserve opal rings for special or dress occasions.

Can I Get My Opal Ring Wet?

Yes—most solid opal rings are completely safe to get wet during everyday wear. But there are a few exceptions to keep in mind:

Ethiopian opal rings can absorb water and may temporarily change appearance. Most recover on their own, but in rare cases, the change can be permanenet.

Doublet and triplet rings must always be kept dry. These layered stones are bonded with adhesive, and moisture can work its way between the layers, causing permanent fogging or damage.

How Can I Clean My Opal Ring?

Most solid opal rings can be gently cleaned using warm water, mild hand soap, and a soft-bristled toothbrush.

If you're cleaning Ethiopian opal rings, opal doublets, or opal triplets, avoid submerging the ring completely. Instead, dampen your toothbrush and lightly clean the setting and opal surface as needed.

These types of opals are more sensitive to water and moisture buildup, so take care to avoid overexposure.

Do Your Product Photos Accurately Represent the Opals?

Yes—every OpalPop product photo is meticulously color-corrected by hand to reflect how the opal appears in both LED studio lighting and natural sunlight. Our photography is handled in-house by an experienced photographer and Certified Gemologist, ensuring accuracy across lighting conditions.

When an opal is difficult to capture, we lean on the side of underrepresentation, choosing to downplay rather than exaggerate its appearance. We also make it a priority to show any meaningful inclusions or natural features in the stone.

We want you to love your opal ring even more in person than you do online.

Can an OpalPop Ring Be Duplicated?

No—every OpalPop ring is one-of-a-kind. While some of our estate styles may reflect vintage design trends, each opal is naturally unique and cannot be exactly replicated.

Our pieces are available only once, and once sold, they are gone for good. We do not currently accept custom commissions or requests to recreate past designs.

How Does OpalPop Handle Shipping Insurance?

All U.S. orders ship free with full insurance and tracking. For added security, orders over $300 also include signature confirmation upon delivery.

In the rare event of a package being lost in transit, we'll handle the claims process with our third-party insurance partners on your behalf. If the claim is approved, the full awarded amount will be refunded to your original payment method.

We've handled this process successfully in the past and take every step to ensure your order arrives safely.
