Lena | Southwest Style Australian Opal Solitaire Necklace in Sterling Silver

Measuring a dainty 0.8" long from the top of its bail by 0.5" wide, this handmade sterling silver pendant features a natural white Australian opal with pinkish red colors that shift with green and blue overtones.  From the rope-design border around the bezel that holds the opal, to the silver feather accent on the side of the pendant, the piece is a classic example of 1970s and 1980s American-Southwest fashion.

Sourced from a Lowell, Massachusetts estate, the back of the pendant appears to be signed with the letter "J" by the unknown artist; no indications suggest whether the piece is vintage and Native American-made or simply a modern take on the classic look.  When viewing the pendant, the right side of the bezel is imperfect—a signature of its handcrafted origin.
