"Multiverse in Harmony"

An Opal in Glass Pendant Hand-Blown by Artist Jes Durfee, Faceted by Josh Arleth — See Condition Notes

Hand-blown, designed, and signed by renowned Minnesota glass artist, Jes Durfee, this exceptional work of art features a colorful trillion cut lab-created opal suspended in purple ("amethyst") borosilicate glass, surrounded by a gold-colored hexagram design.  An artist known for incorporating sacred geometry into his galactic-inspired work, the hexagram symbolizes divine union, balance, and creation, formed by two interlocking triangles; the upward-pointing triangle represents masculine energy, and the downward-pointing triangle represents feminine energy.  Glittering "stars" of lab-created opal chips float throughout the dark space.

This pendant was made in collaboration with master faceter, Josh Arleth, who shaped the glass as it is.  The facets create a "multiverse effect"—each facet is a different window into the opal and symbolism, showing the same image overlapped in just a slightly different way.

The piece is not perfect and is being sold as-is.  Found in a collector's estate, there is a sizable chip taken from the bottom facet junction.  This is not readily visible when the pendant is worn, appearing both dark and just underneath the piece, though it is noticeable when thoroughly admiring.  A minute chip is also eye-visible on the front right facet junction when facing the pendant.

Original 30” brown cord included.  Lightly frayed.
