Cast from what is now-patinaed 9k yellow gold, this English three-stone ring is an antique Victorian Era find from the late 1800s.  It features three round gemstones that are vertically stacked in a high-profile prong-set mounting—a colorful Australian light opal softly shimmers with reddish pinks between two rose cut diamonds.

The term "rose cut" refers to gemstones displaying a flat, cleaved bottom and faceted top; this was a technique commonly used before modern stone cutting techniques were developed in the 1900s.
