Likely modern-made with an aesthetic that can be described as Victorian-adjacent, its gold plating is quite well-worn, exposing the metal's true silvery tone along the sides and bottom of the ring's open shank. Black antiquing has been inconsistently applied, appearing in select sections of the dainty rope-like design. Sourced from a Radcliff, Kentucky estate and stamped "BRASS", the bottom of the shank is sharp when rubbed, and its inside feels rough when putting the ring on and taking it off—though the piece is reasonably comfortable once on the finger.
