Handcrafted during Japan's post-World War II's luxury revival era, this faceted fire opal ring showcases many of the key Art Deco elements that make Japanese Mid-Century jewelry so special: a high-set, floating center stone, scrolling platinum filigree along the gallery, sharp-styled prongs, and marquise-cut diamond accents to tie the design together. The "P.M" hallmark, opposed to the later-adopted "PT," dates the ring to the 1950's.
