Handcrafted in 14k white gold and signed by renowned Laguna Beach artist Luciano Bortone, this exquisite 1990's heirloom-quality black opal engagement ring is a true rarity.  The Lightning Ridge black opal, weighing an estimated 1.13 carats, glows with intensely sought-after red flashes against a midnight dark N2 body tone.

Measuring approximately 7mm in diameter— just larger than a pencil eraser— the opal is protectively set low, floating within a diamond-encrusted open square.  The interplay of bold geometry and organic fire makes this piece both modern and timeless.
