Acquired by OpalPop from a private Sebring, Florida collector, this lovely Victorian three-stone opal ring is beautifully preserved: every one of the ring's twenty prongs are present, all ten seed pearl accents in its halo accounted for, and its delicate 9k gold shank intact. Due to the high-copper alloy popular in Britain during the era, the surface of the yellow gold carries a faint warm, rosy cast.
Likely sourced from White Cliffs, Australia, the three light opals each have a personality of their own. The center opal is brightest, playing pinkish red and blue colors. The outer stones are more subtle—one has a notable seam of precious color that twinkles with pink, orange, yellow, and green, where the other shows a quiet, static pink across its face when viewed closely in the light.
Surrounding the three opals are a halo of round seed pearls, each separated by a section of high-polished gold; these gold sections are efficient in reflecting light back to the viewer's eye, giving the ring a glittering appearance.
No visible hallmarks remain inside of the ring's shank; the gold has been thoroughly tested with nitric acid.
