A Patterned Pear Shaped Koroit Boulder Opal Solitaire Necklace

Discovered in an estate collection of sterling silver boulder opal jewelry, this simple opal solitaire pendant features a pear shaped boulder opal from Australia's Koroit Opal Field.  Fine veins of purple run through the patterned ironstone matrix, subtly flashing with occasional colors of green and blue when viewed closely in the light.  Light wear along the surface of the bail and bezel has been hand polished, giving the piece an aged feel as it patinas over time.  The bail is sized right for up to a 5.5mm chain, making the pendant a versatile choice for both men and women.

18" sterling silver box-style presentation chain included.
