A Vibrant Ethiopian Fire Opal Ring with Treated Blue Topaz Accents

In the sunlight, brilliant colors of green, yellow, red, and orange swirl through this oval shaped Ethiopian fire opal; its brightness in the sun, when viewed straight-on, is notable.  Crafted in India under the direction of KHR Jewels Inc. (as is laser inscribed in the ring's sterling silver shank), an interesting design choice was made for what accent stones to use.  Five are, what we believe to be, treated blue topaz stones—and one rogue stone that appears to be different: a darker, more saturated blue gemstone likely to be kyanite.

To keep your Ethiopian opal jewelry in its best possible condition, we recommend keeping it away from water.  Remove Ethiopian opal rings before washing your hands.
