Meet Miss Chevy,

A Vintage, Handmade Rough Opal Men's Ring with a Feminine Motif

Likely created by a beginning hobbyist in or around the 1970s, this handmade silver ring features a female figure next to a rough opal, presumably from Virgin Valley, Nevada.  The opal twinkles with red and green pinfire over a greenish base.  Surrounding the opal are a melange of five different colored stones; four of these stones are glass, and the round green stone is natural peridot.

This unique piece indeed shows its age, as the bottom of the shank shows a hairline crack, and the opal gently rattles in its prong set mounting.
